Bahria Icon tower:Upcoming Multi-use commercial Building project By Bahria Town

Going through the list of upcoming projects in karachi which is the mega city of Pakistan , another mixed use commercial project by Bahria town is in the pipeline and it is  Bahria Icon tower. The project was initiated in 2008 after the approval of  KBCA and the excavation ,creation of haul routes and foundation works have been undertaken. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2013.

here are some of the initial proposed renders of the tower which later got discarded . But i like to share it  .The website and the billboard at the construction site shows different renders

so i know we have heard a lot from our parents, grandparents, teachers and historians as to how great the Muslims were and how they invented most of the things. You must have also heard about Muslim’s being really good eye doctors, dentists and flying around on glider kind of things. Some of them must have looked to you like jokes, to me they sometimes felt that way as theres a famous qoute that  history usually is Biased. So it depends on who is writing it. But this latest post that i found on London, Englands CNN online edition opened my eyes and so will it do with you. Read on for learning a whole lot about our religious heritage and knowing how we were different than we are now and how education and research was much more important to us when we were not just terrorism or Oil gifted nations.

FASTEST TRAIN OF THE WORLD ON THE LONGEST TRACK IN THE WORLD!! Thats one hell of a tongue twister :P But Yes….

China launched the worlds fastest train service covering a distance of 1,068 kms at the average speed of 350 kms an hour.This distance between Wuhan in central china and Guangzhou in the countrys south was covered by the high speed train in 2 hrs and 45 minutes,which was orginally covered in 10 hrs.The new service is expected to act as a catalyst in the development of central China that includes backward areas like Xianning bylinking it to the highly developed Pearl River Delhi, which is an industrial hub in south China.

The government recently announced its plans to build 42 high-speed lines by 2012 in order to spur economic growth amid the global downturn.China has unveiled a massive rail development program, considered to be the world’s biggest plan outside the United States.
The goal is to take the rail network from the current 86,000 kilometers to 120,000 kilometers.
